The Feelings Changing Game
Material:
An elf poster, tape, one disposable picture for each person including
yourself, a small flat magnet for each person, scissors, and glue.
Preparation:
Tape the poster to the refrigerator. Cut one child’s
face out of the picture and glue it to the magnet. Repeat for the other pictures.
Activity:
- When your kids are present, take the magnet with your face on it and put it next to the
feeling elf whose feeling is most similar to yours. Say, “I’m feeling
______.”
- Give each of your children the magnet with his or her face on it. Ask the children to
put their face magnet on the elf that has a similar feeling to theirs.
- Tell them that feelings change, and invite them to come back and change the position
of their face magnet when their feelings change.
